The video I watched was “AT&T Texting and Driving
Documentary—“The Last Text””. This video is meant to be a message to drivers
who text while driving. The video showed 3 people who risked and lost their
lives in car accidents caused by them reading and / or replying to texts. 2 of
the three people were girls who died, and one of the three people was a man would
had a lot of brain damage from his accident. The man talked about how he is now
not able to do most of the things that he was able to do before his accident,
even walk. You could tell by the way he talked and moved that he had some sort
of damage caused to him in his life. This video really grab’s the viewers’
attention by adding specific details about how the people involved in the
accidents ended up (either dead or severely brain damaged), and how it affects
their families day after day. They also showed gruesome pictures, footage from a
memorial birthday party of one of the girls who died on what was going to be
her 19th birthday, and even the texts they were trying to send as
they got into their accidents. Their texts were so average and unneeded, something
that was not worth that cost of their life.
